Through our volunteer program you’ll find various community development volunteer opportunities throughout our local communities.

As a volunteer in Uganda you will be helping with community development on a range of projects. You can work with children’s education in the community and local schools, run youth empowerment classes or health care projects or even sports or arts.

Medical work

Are you a medical professional or student looking for a meaningful place to practice your skills with a positive impact to the society? stichting suubi offers medical and healthcare volunteering and internship opportunities in both hospitals and healthcentres to Pre-med, nursing, and medical students and professionals interested in a volunteer abroad medical opportunities.

In our operating communities we have medical centres on different medical levels, drug shops, pharmacies, clinics, Healthcentres and Hospitals there are either private or public but our main focus is on the public community hospital where a common ugandan run for medical care despite not having money but these hospital face a challange of low staff bacause they recieve many patients. you helping hand on their team makes a difference there you can come one or come with a group to help.

Community wound care project

Since 2016, international volunteers are deployed on wound care projects. Meanwhile, 15 schools with 3000 children are part of the project.

The aim of the project is to provide preventive care to prevent (chronic) infections, to guarantee continuity in education and to stimulate promising motor development. We are looking for volunteers to continue the work that has been set up.

Summer4change

In recent years, various groups, volunteers and families have traveled to Uganda to renovate schools.

These are government schools that are in poor condition and often have not been maintained for decades. The poorest receive their education here. This makes a clear defference between public and private schools.

Various volunteer groups and/or families from the Netherlands have contributed to the renovations during 2-3 week projects, for which they raise the funds/resources themselves from friends and family then they do what fits in their mobilised funds. They always end the volunteer work with a group safari.
